Hi I just joined this group and just wanted to say hi. I am on my second week of pegasys and ribavirin and feel like crap pretty much every second(yay). I have the usual symptoms of flu like aches and fever plus exhaustion sweating constant nausea and stomach pain after eating and near constant gas.

Mrs. Washington,

Welcome! Hi! On a positive note, sweating means your responding to the medication!Yes, thats what my DR said. If you get and break a fever, that's a really good sign! Hang in there!

Welcome Mrs. Washington - I didn't know that about sweating, but I froze during the day & sweated all night while on tx. And my tx was successful so thats probably correct.
How long are you doing tx?
The sx are a bad bad trip but the will go away towards the end of your tx.
Good Luck & God Bless

That alarms me because I havent sweated at all, and my fevers are usually only 99.2 a couple days after injecting. So your saying if you dont have that, its prob not working?????

Thank you all for your comments and support. I was thinking that the fevers were probably a good thing. I usually run a low grade fever during the day and by the afternoon when
I get home from work it's usually around 100.8. tsc69 are you running a fever right after your injections? I'm wondering if anyone else has sores in their mouth? For a few days it's been burning when I brush and today I looked and there are sores like when I drink too much orange juice. I didn't remember it being listed as a side effect but when I looked yes it was there. Lol I think I have almost all of them now. Anyone having homicidal rages when driving??? kitty my doctor said 6 months for treatment. I thought also that the longer on treatment the better the side effects but mine are getting worse I am pretty much limited to yogurt toast and cottage cheese right now in very small amounts my stomach can't stand anything else in it. Oh I have a tip on coffee for any of you that are getting sick drinking it-try kava brand instant it's acid neutralized. There is no way to get up at 5:00 a.m. to work with no caffeine!

Welcome, Mrs Washington. Hang in there, I am starting week 12 of triple incivek, genotype 1a. The side effects are horrendous & seem at some point to encompass my life. The itchy rash is the worse for me, followed by the brain fog & extreme fatigue. When I eat or drink sometimes it taste metallic. I get lots of hope from the online support group & try to take all their advice, drinks LOTS of water, get enough sleep, etc. I can't wait for this to be over. I took labs friday for viral load to see if I am undetectable at 12 weeks, I'm praying.

The race is not won by the swift nor the strong but to he that endureth
HCV Geno 1a 24wks Triple Incivek, Interferon, Ribavirin (8/25/12 thru 2/9/13) Undetectable @ 4wk 12wk 24wk * Awaiting results for SVR August 2013
